ABOUT ME
I AM AN EDUCATIONAL THERAPIST. More than a tutor, more than a learning specialist—an educational therapist is a professional who is trained to understand an individual child’s learning challenges and the patterns and behaviors the child has developed to work around, or mask, his or her deficits.

TUTORING AND TEACHING SMALL CLASSES ARE MY PASSION. Small classes allow me to tailor learning to the individual and to provide children with the opportunity to really build confidence.
I BELIEVE IN THE WHOLE CHILD/HOLISTIC APPROACH TO LEARNING. Social and emotional learning (SEL) is essential to a child’s ability to learn and is an important part of what I do and how I work and succeed with students in academic areas. My goal is to support students by fostering their social and emotional skills alongside their academics, so they are able to thrive no matter what is happening in the world around them.

MY EXPERIENCE IS WIDESPREAD. From the classroom to one-on-one sessions, my professional roles have included teacher, researcher, education consultant, academic coach, mindfulness coach and learning specialist. I also bring extensive experience in community outreach, relationship building and business development, giving me a broad perspective to help each child build on his or her personal strengths.

Today, more than ever, a little extra support as your child prepares to head back to school or a fuller attention placed on the whole child, including the social-emotional state, may be needed. One-on-one individualized skill sessions (30, 45 or 60 minutes) are offered, using a multi-sensory and minimal tech approach. Sessions are tailored to the individual needs of the student and family and are offered in-home* or virtually using Zoom, Google Meeting or FaceTime. Areas I specialize in include:
* Please note: Due to the pandemic, cheerful personal protective equipment will be worn and appropriate social distancing will be maintained for in-home sessions.
